Itinerary of the trip:

Day 1 ARRIVAL DAY-TASHKENT
Arrival at Tashkent airport. Transfer to hotel for overnight.


Day 2 TASHKENT-SAMARKAND (300 KM, 5-6 HRS)
Short city tour of Tashkent: visit Kukeldash Madrassah and Khast Imam Square. Also visit Barak Khan Madrassah, Tillya Sheykh Mosque and Kafal Shashi Mausoleum. PM drive to Samarkand. Transfer to hotel for overnight.


Day 3 SAMARKAND
Full day sightseeing of Samarkand: Visit to Gur Emir (in Tajik - Tomb of the emir) – mausoleum of Timur and the Timurids (15 c.); Bibi Khanym Mosque (15 c.) – the gigantic congregational mosque, once one of the Islamic world’s biggest mosque and Siab market – colorful main farmers’ market. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit to Shakhi Zinda (The Living King) – necropolis of Samarkand rulers and nobles. The name refers to its original, innermost and holiest shrine – the grave of Qusam ibn-Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet Muhammad, who is said brought Islam to this area. Also visit to Ulugbek Observatory (1420) – the remains of an immense (30 m. tall) astrolabe for observing star position, part of three-storey observatory and Afrasiab ruins and museum with fragments of 7th century frescoes. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 4 TASHKENT-SHAHREZABZ (170 KM, 2-3 HRS)
Morning sightseeing of Reghistan square (Sandy place) – ensemble of majestic madrassahs (15-17 cc.), ranks first in Central Asia and among the greatest of all the grandiose and magnificent works of the Islamic world. PM. Drive to Shahrezabz. Overnight in hotel.


Day 5 SHAHREZABZ-BUKHARA (300 KM, 5-6 HRS)
Visit Shahrezabz: Ak Saray (White Palace) – Summer residence of Tamerlane (14 c.), Kok Gumbaz (Blue Dome) – Friday mosque (15 c.), built by Ulugbek in honor of his father and Dorut Tilyavat (House of Meditation) – burial complex of Timur’s forebears. Also visit Crypt of Timur – an underground room, which was discovered in 1963. Drive to Bukhara. Overnight in hotel.


Day 6 BUKHARA
Full day sightseeing of Bukhara: visit Poi Kalon Ensemble (Pedestal of the Great). The square separates the Mir-I-Arab Madrassah and the Kalon Jummi mosque. The Kalon Minaret (in Tajik means “Great”) is one of the defining symbols of Bukhara. Also visit 3 remaining domed bazaars – Taqi Zargaron (1570), or Jeweler’s Bazaar, Taqi Telpak Furushon or Cap Makers’ Bazaar and Taqi Sarrafon, or Moneychangers’ Bazaar, Magok-I-Atori Mosque – the remains of a Buddhist monastery, a Zoroastrian temple and the mosque of the Arab invaders, all sharing the same space and Lyabi Hauz Ensemble. To the east, the Nadir Divanbegi Madrassah, built in 1630, on the west side of the square, and built at the same time, is the Nadir Divanbegi Khanaka. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch visit the Ark fortress, Bolo Hauz Mosque (“Mosque Near the Pool”) (1712), Ismoil Samani Mausoleum and Chashma Ayub (“Spring of Job”).


Day 7 BUKHARA-URGENCH-KHIVA (480 KM, 8-9HRS)
Day drive to Khiva via Urgench. Overnight in hotel.


Day 8 KHIVA
Sightseeing of Khiva: Visit Ichan Kala (Inner town), Mohammed Amin Khan Madrassah (1852-1855); Kelte Minor (“Short minaret”); Kunya Ark (Old Fortress); Pakhlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Islam Khoja Madrassah (1908) and Minaret (1910) – Khiva’s newest Islamic monuments; Juma Mosque (1788) (Friday Mosque). Lunch at private house. After lunch visit Tosh Howli (Stone House) – residence, built by Allah Kuli Khan between 1832 and 1841 as a more splendid alternative to the Kunya Ark; Allah Kuli Khan Madrassah (1835), bazaar and caravanserai. Overnight in hotel.


Day 9 KHIVA-URGENCH (flight)-TASHKENT-FERGHANA (180 KM, 3-4 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Urgench, flight to Tashkent and drive to Ferghana. Overnight in hotel.


Day 10 FERGHANA
Full day visit Andijan (Babur park) and drive to Margilan to visit local silk factory and craftsman workshop. (80 km – 1 hour).


Day 11 FERGHANA-KOKAND-TASHKENT (250 KM, 4-5 HRS)
After breakfast at hotel drive to Kokand (60 km) to visit Khudoyar Khan’s Palace. Then drive to Tashkent along one of the most picturesque mountain passes in Central Asia. Overnight in hotel.


Day 12 TASHKENT-TARAZ (300 KM, 5-6 HRS)
Transfer to Uzbek-Kazakh Chernyeavka border. After borders formalities drive to Taraz via Aisha-Bibi and Babadzha-hatun Mausoleums. Lunch en route. Upon arrival to Taraz, transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 13 TARAZ-BISHKEK (300 KM, 5-6 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Bishkek via Kazakh-Kyrgyz Chaldovar border. Lunch en route. PM. City tour of Bishkek. City tour includes the visit of the Ala-Too Square, Historical Museum, Panfilov Park and Open Air Gallery. Dinner at local restaurant with Kyrgyz folkloric music show. Overnight in guest house.


Day 14 BISHKEK-CHOLPON-ATA (304 KM, 5-6 HRS)
Morning drive to Issyk-Kul Lake. En route visit Burana Tower and Ak-Beshim. Lunch en route. Upon arrival to Cholpon-Ata excursion to an open-air gallery of rock engravings, dating from 500 BC up to 600 AD. After excursion transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.


Day 15 CHOLPON-ATA-KARAKOL (145 KM, 2-3 HRS)
After breakfast transfer to a pier of Cholpon-Ata for boat cruise. Then drive to Grigorevsky gorge for excursion with picnic lunch. After lunch continue drive to Karakol. During the city tour visit a very pretty wooden mosque built by Chinese artisans between 1907 and 1910 for the local Dungans, and a similarly appealing wooden Russian Orthodox church, the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Przhevalsky museum, dedicated to this famous Russian geographer and explorer, and after whom the Mongolian wild horse was named. Dinner and overnight in guest house.


Day 16 KARAKOL-SON-KUL (400 KM, 6-7 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Son-Kul lake. Lunch en route in Kochkor village in a local house. After lunch you will watch the process of felt carpet making. Continue drive to Son-Kul lake. Dinner and overnight in Yurts.


Day 17 SON-KUL-NARYN (150 KM, 2-3 HRS)
After breakfast horse riding around the lake. You can enjoy with amazing nature and you can do cloth up photos of the Yaks. Lunch in Yurt. PM drive to Naryn. Dinner and overnight in guest house.


Day 18 NARYN-TASH-RABAT (120 KM, 2-3 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Tash-Rabat. It is know as caravansarai of the XV century, (the medieval inn of the merchants and travelers on the Great Silk Road). It was recently dated by the X century due to archeology and architecture research. It is supposed to be the monastery of nestorian - Christians or Buddhists who came here before the Mongolian invasion and the spreading of Islam in Tien-Shan. After lunch walk around for making photos. Meals and overnight in Yurts.


Day 19 TASH-RABAT-TORUGART (95 KM, 1-2 HRS)
After breakfast drive to Kyrgyz-Chinese Torugart border. After border formalities see the group off.
